What are the possible side effects of Microblading?
Microblading is the process of applying tiny, semi/ permanent hair like strokes to the brow area to mimic the look of hairs
The side effects you can experience elsewhere are infections and inconsistent results BUT NOT WITH US!
Infections or allergic reactions due to microblading treatments are rare but could still occur, mostly at the hands of poorly trained practitioners, who haven't received a thorough Infection Control training. When the practitioner has used filtered or imagery manipulation to exaggerate their work this may produce inconsistent results. It is important to do your research not just on social media but from clients' reviews. WE DON'T FILTER any of our work ( photos and videos) therefore you can watch the reality of the procedures on our posts.
Infections
If the eyebrows area infection becomes serious, the swelling may extend to the eyelids and the redness to the scalp or neck. These could also be signs of facial cellulitis which is a bacterial infection. Contact your GP or go to see a pharmacist at your local chemist. Also notify your technician if you have any concerns.
Allergic Reactions
Unfortunately allergic reactions can develop at any point in someone's life to the most common or most random ingredients/ products. From Nickel allergies to food allergies the variety of allergens is so wide around the world. At Perfect Definition and Scalp Micro Definition we use the best quality Medical Grade pigments and sterile single use tools ( we don't save or compromise on the products quality, our clients and patients deserve the safest and the best!).
Nevertheless, with the best products we use, WE STILL patch test / scratch test EVERYONE in advance to the procedure, to assure the possibility of an allergic reaction is minimalized and we monitor the clients and patients not only through the procedure but post procedure as well. As far as we know nobody else is doing this to the level that we do!
Using Filters on Images
Unfortunately most technicians use filters and imagery software to exaggerate their before and make their after images more dramatic. We pride ourselves on all of our images and videos being unfiltered and showing the natural process of treatment. We show the before images of the brows, as well as the immediate after and healed. It is crucial that when you are choosing a clinic you get a true indication of what you can expect from results. Not all clients are the same - which is why some but very rarely might require a few sessions to achieve their desired look.
Side effects are possible for any treatment you undergo but we are very strict on our pre-care and aftercare and thanks to that we don't experience them at Perfect Definition or Scalp Micro Definition!
