What to expect
Recreating the nipple and areola is the final component in breast reconstruction. Some patients are comfortable without having a nipple, and do not wish to have further surgery. Others choose the non-surgical option of tattooing without invasive reconstruction.
Medical Tattooing allows colour pigmentation to simulate the nipple and/or areola; creating a 3D image of an actual nipple, montgomery glands and areola texture. This gives the most natural realistic looking results.
During a consultation, you will discuss colours, shape and placement of the new nipples/areolas and the aftercare. The areas will be measured for the symmetry and positioning. El explains how she mixes custom colour blends.
